Description as a Tweet:

Our Security Sensor alarm will detect any mean, evil burglars our there, wanna stop by and give it a try?!

Inspiration:

We are conserned about theft.

What it does:

what our project doe is once the sensor detects motion, it will turn on the red LED and cause it to blink as well as, make a buzzer go off continuously, and it will cause the servo motor to rotate 180 degrees and this is supposed to act as the lock on the door if it was a fully advanced system. The only way to deactivate the alarm is to unplug the USB.

How we built it:

with help for the hardware table.

Technologies we used:

  • C/C++/C#
  • Python
  • Arduino

Challenges we ran into:

-It was hard to get the servo motor to work and stop, at first it would just go in circles when the buzzer and the light went off
-when we would have the code for the lights and the buzzer one of then would work and the other would deactivate

Accomplishments we're proud of:

We only have experience with the LED lights and the buzzer and a bit of code, the whole project it a huge accomplishment for all of us!!!!

What we've learned:

We learned how to use loops, the wiring for the senor and the wiring for the servo motor.

What's next:

We hope to eventually get the programming to detect the difference between the people who owns the space and who is supposed to to be there and the person who is not.

Built with:

LED light
Buzzer
servo motor
sensor
