Description as a Tweet:

Panoramic views, Halloween displays and secret lily ponds, this app has it all mapped for the pleasure of art chasers everywhere. Fully crowd-funded social network, no comments, no chats, only views, timed and mapped locations and you!

Inspiration:

I am a computer scientist and amateur artist. I love sitting to observe pretty views, discovering art installations and secret lily ponds in every city and town I've lived in. It makes sense for people like me who find life's joys in the small little things to share them on a space where we do not have anything else to distract us.

What it does:

My project does the following:
1. Allows user to add a view
2. Allows user to check out views on a map by location
3. Allows user to check out views based on photos in a gallery

How we built it:

I used Appsheets, it was my first time using them and I believe it was one of the smartest things I've ever done for an MVP. Google sheets serves as a database and I used very basic views for my app.

  • Misc

Challenges we ran into:

I had to learn to use appsheets within 36 hours.

Accomplishments we're proud of:

I'm super proud of how the end product looks. It looks like what I envisioned.

Appsheets! Quick Prototyping!

What's next:
